The start of IMPACT

It all started with an energetic group of girls who met after joining SATCH Volleyball for the regular volleyball season.  As soon as they started playing together, it was evident this team was something special.  These girls instantly formed a bond that is undeniable.  They demonstrate an incredible amount of care, support, encouragement, team spirit, friendship and respect.  Watching them have such grace and dignity on the court whether they win or lose is truly something to witness.  They love the Lord and conduct themselves the way He would have them do. 

The 2010 SATCH volleyball season was incredible.  This team might have been considered an underdog at the beginning but boy has that all changed.  Now they are a team to be reckoned with...

Now the girls are ready to play club ball for the off season.  We have registered with Lone Star Region Volleyball - USA Volleyball.  Our name came about because we feel it best represents this special group of girls.  These girls definitely leave an IMPACT not only on the court but with their christian character as well.  Thus came the name Christian IMPACT Volleyball.  Along with the addition of 2 new players, this team is destined for greatness.

My name is Mary O'Brien and I've been coaching volleyball for 2 years now. I'm a History major with a minor in secondary education at Sam Houston State University and will be graduating in May 2011. I was an athletic trainer for all 4 years of high school and graduated from Cinco Ranch in 2007. After several odd jobs in college as a daycare facilitator and preschool teacher, I found my calling to become a volleyball coach. I started coaching in the Fall of 2009 as the head JV coach and the Varsity assistant coach with SATCH Volleyball and continue to coach for them during the regular season. After the regular season, I coached Xtreme Volleyball for a year. When I received the opportunity to help start up this new club, I was thrilled. I am excited to start a new journey with Christian Impact Volleyball with such a wonderful group of girls and look forward to the seasons ahead.

Hi!  I am Ruth Lemons.  I am 13 years old and a member of the Christian Impact Volleyball Club Team.  I have played volleyball since I was 8 years old.  First, I played for the YMCA, then three years ago I began playing with the Sports Association of Texas for Christian Homeschoolers (SATCH).  Attending skills building training from  January – May for the past two off-seasons has improved my skills a lot. I have also taken private lessons to work on specific skills, such as setting and serving.   I joined Christian Impact Volleyball for several reasons.  First, because I want to play for college I need an off-season team to continue to improve my skills.  Next, I wanted to continue playing volleyball with my friends.  Lastly, I just love to play volleyball.

I'm 12 years old and I have 8 siblings.I love to sing,dance,but most of all I love to play volleyball. This is my second year playing volleyball and I have loved every minute of it.

My name is Megan Davis.  I am 13 years old and have played volleyball for three years now.  My first time to play volleyball was with SATCH.  I did off season training last January and it went through last May. I've seen so many changes in the way I play through that.  I'm so thankful that God has given me Christian Impact Volleyball so I can continue to play volleyball in my off season with my friends, and it is also a great way to stay in shape.

#16 Katelyn Conner

Hey!  My name is Katelyn Conner and I have played volleyball for 2 years.  I started at White Oak Middle School and loved it! I worked on my skills at the YMCA and a Tarkington league.  I joined SATCH for the next season and loved it the most!!!  When I first joined SATCH, I was a hitter.  And with an attack percentage of 15.8% (2^nd on the team), 292 total attacks (4^th on the team) and 85 kills (3^rd on the team), that is my favorite position!!! I’m sooooo excited about IMPACT! I can’t wait!!!!

                                    Hey! My name is Sarah Curry. I'm 13 years old I have played volleyball for 3 years with SATCH. I did 2 years of off season training. I was team captain my 3rd year (2010). I got MVP 3 tournaments in my 3rd year. My favorite position is outside or middle hitter. Now I'm ready to play off season with Christian IMPACT!!! HI! I'm Meaghan Herrod and I’m 14 years old.  I love volleyball!!!  I've played volleyball for 3 years with SATCH(Sports Association of Texas Christian Homeschoolers).  My first year, I played on the junior high A and B team. My second year, I played on junior high A team, was team captain, and I played up to the JV team. This year (2010) as a freshman, I made the Varsity team as setter and team captain.  My favorite position is setter.  My plans include playing on a college volleyball team and having a career as a volleyball coach or trainer. I’m so glad I get a chance to play with all my friends! I know that Christian IMPACT is going to be amazing and I’m so excited!!

Hey!

My name is Kendal Crabb, I have 2 years of experience in Volleyball. I started out in White Oak and then moved onto Keefer Crossing. My skill level has improved alot from when I first started. I have never played on a club volleyball team until now. I am very grateful that my friend told me about Christian Impact Club Volleyball! I plan on playing for the rest of my life and get a scholarship from it. I try my hardest everytime I pick up a volleyball and hope to improve even more. I hope to learn new things from everyone and enjoy every second I play with Christian Impact Club Volleyball!

Hi, my name is Cassidy Smith. I am 15years old and I have played Volleyball for 2 years. I started at Keefer Crossing Middle School in the 8th grade. My 9th grade year I played at New Caney High School. Positions I have played; Middle Back, Left Back and Right. My favorite is to play Middle Back. I have never played league ball before, I am very excited about this. The friends I have met are great and I look forward to being a part of Christian Impact Volleyball.
